Social Security Administration Office:
Start the name-changing process with your social security card.
Mail in Application SS-5 and a certified copy of your marriage certificate, your certified copy will be returned. Or if you prefer to fill the Application and bring in person to your local Social Security Administration Office Branch. There is no administrative/ fee charged to change your name. It will take about two weeks to receive your new Social Security Card in the mail.
Social Security Administration, will send your name change to the IRS and it will automatically update their records. Additionally, if your address has changed, you will need to mail in 8822  form to avoid tax return delays.

To complete the name change for your drivers license bring in your Social Security Card to show your name change to complete the name change, and so forth.
DMV will ask you to go to Social Security Administration Office first to start the name change process, then return to DMV once you have completed the name change application with Social Security.
